FOR DURHAM STUDENTS

Same fun. Different people, different places.

Duz is a night out that runs itself. Join on your own, with a +1 or with your group, follow the night stop by stop, and collect something to remember it by.

Discover. Do. Collect. Repeat.

Discover

See the next Duz: when it starts, the broad plan, what it costs and what it could earn.

Do

On the night, one clear next step at a time. Check in at each stop and meet your crew.

Collect

Afterwards, collect what you earned. Some nights award points, some a badge, some both — some are just a great night.

Repeat

There's always a next one. Your Passport and your college's standing keep the story going.

How a night works

  1. 1

    Join your way

Go solo, bring a +1 or come with your group. Solo is a completely normal way to join — that's rather the point.

  2. 2

    Get your crew

When the night starts you're placed in a small crew that mixes people from different colleges, and tries to keep you with the people you came with.

  3. 3

    Follow the night

The app shows where to go next and what to do there. Check in when you arrive, then get back to the room — your phone can stay in your pocket.

  4. 4

    Play along

Some stops have Quests: a pub quiz round, a challenge, something to find. Do them if you fancy it.

Something to show for it

Passport

Your collection of Durham experiences. Earn badges for nights and Quests, discover secret ones, and see how rare each one is.

Cups

Points count for you and for your college. Follow the individual, college and monthly standings and see who's out front.

Bring someone along

Friends can join from an invitation with just a name — no sign-up first. They get the whole night, not a cut-down version. If they're a Durham student, they can verify afterwards and claim what they earned.

Made for Durham

Durham is a collegiate university, and Duz is built around that: crews mix people across colleges, and the points you earn count towards your college's standing.

You sign in with your Durham university email, which is how we confirm you're a student. Guests you invite don't need one.
